Image for the poem stutter

stutter

I ache in the silence and then keen in the noise
I stutter to say something then stop short
the heaviness of being upon me

I reach to touch in the still moments
you comfort my depths, tentative to my needs
my scars are my honesty
it hurts to be this human

on the larger scale will it all be forgotten?

I hope not and count it as wisdom
stars collected on the way to light my journeys

I stop here, my thoughts guide
my conscience answers I am my worst critic
still I hear others picking at my seams

is it madness or the infinite I reach?
