Into the Present

around and around and around I go
thinking and thinking and thinking I know
what has just happened and what is to come
desiring not-wanting becoming just one

with the ether, one with the flow
one with forever as on I go
in and ex-haling, inhaling again
rhythmic pulsations, sunshine or rain

daytime or nighttime, asleep or awake
drifting while floating on a calm lake
vibrating, feeling all is okay
life is for living every day

life's in the present although in the past
electromagnetic signals moved fast
skipped from nerve endings between and among
mycelial networks to then become

thoughts I am thinking, visions, ideas
drifting while floating away from my fears
in and exhaling, inhaling once more
awareness of which becomes a door

while floating beneath a warm summer sky
to myself I know I cannot lie
electromagnetic signals in mind
bring me back into the present time,,,
