Broken Hero
This began with a sixth sense
simmering energy entangling us
blossoming pain paralleled at the roots
subdural hematoma we both ache to bleed
Held hostage by war that remains inside
tendrils latching to the frayed tips of mine
transcension when our bodies intertwine
no pause before we cross the line
Swallowing the frost beneath the waist
lost in the chemicals and your embrace
spit in my mouth, you know I love the taste
unravelling I only know your face
Wavering to the pull of my disease
belly fluttering with wings of anxiety
temporary reprieve; licking fingers from my knees
can't say no when your ghost reaches out for me
Crushing diamonds between my teeth
I pull the string until you find relief
dropping the needle to the floor
consume your mouth before you ask for more
the shell shock seeping from your core
those hollow eyes trap the scream inside
I won't let it drag you under this time
melt into my hips again
Kissing the track marks on your skin
trembling muscle beneath my lips
angry beast wrecking walls deep within
choking on your breath; give in again
Lulling each other beneath the waves
bringing down heaven from the grave
closer to god when we're in this state
touching a mark I can't erase
Do you even know my name?
you have become a sacred place
simmering energy entangling us
blossoming pain paralleled at the roots
subdural hematoma we both ache to bleed
Held hostage by war that remains inside
tendrils latching to the frayed tips of mine
transcension when our bodies intertwine
no pause before we cross the line
Swallowing the frost beneath the waist
