It Doesn't End Even When It Ends

The concrete's hard
No doubt about it
We sharpen our stones
And then forget about it
I've been drained of my blood
But what about it
Sustain our own will
And don't think twice about it

It's a cutthroat world
And rope's the fashion
We're all the same
No matter how you wear it
And I'm not saying
That waste's the passion
I just think
We've not thought hard enough about it

My pitchers empty
I'm not going to worry about it
There is nothing else to pour
So let's not talk about it
I sit here and write
To just forget about it

It's a cutthroat world
And it's ours for trashing
Gotta get your slice
While it's still worth grabbing
And I'm not saying
You're wrong for asking
It just got me thinking
There is nothing more to it
