Dawning
Her skin is
Golden as honey,
Beneath the dawning light;
Her eyes half-lidded,
But her lips curl,
And smile bright;
She traces a finger
Across my eager lips
As my hands meld
Heavenly with her hips;
Her sweetest words
Flower in the air,
As both an offer
And a dare;
‘Kiss me,’
She whispers,
If somewhat timidly:
‘Kiss me,
Kiss me again,
And kiss only me;’
I press gently my lips
Upon her rosy cheek,
My resolve is matchless,
My arms feel weak;
How could any
Worthy man dare hold,
What I embrace,
Knowing she’s worth
Far more than gold?
I kiss her long
And tenderly;
She is
The world to me.
Golden as honey,
Beneath the dawning light;
Her eyes half-lidded,
But her lips curl,
And smile bright;
She traces a finger
Across my eager lips
As my hands meld
Heavenly with her hips;
Her sweetest words
Flower in the air,
As both an offer
And a dare;
‘Kiss me,’
She whispers,
If somewhat timidly:
‘Kiss me,
Kiss me again,
And kiss only me;’
I press gently my lips
Upon her rosy cheek,
My resolve is matchless,
My arms feel weak;
How could any
Worthy man dare hold,
What I embrace,
Knowing she’s worth
Far more than gold?
I kiss her long
And tenderly;
She is
The world to me.
