pied piper's nostalgic needle

You were so precise in the actions you took
Played my feelings as you do your guitar
Upping that silvery nostalgic drip to the max
Feeding me memories that only we know
Drip by drip, cord by cord you were skillful
In knowing me the way that only you do
Of course, of course I'd remember it all
I handed you my arm to get that needled hit
Danced to the sound of your pied piper song
How pathetic I must have been to conniving you
How mockingly easy it was to get my guard down
I viewed you as a friend and that was a mistake
Using nostalgic kerosene and your words as the match
Burned music sheet paper doll in the flames of our past
And I'm left sitting here staring at the edge I wouldn't jumped
No more of this song or addiction to this story
