The Reason Why

I skulk the dark alleyways in my mind.
Without shelter, my homeless thoughts,
lay slumped upon my vein's bleeding shine.
Starving.
Thirsting.
I'm not fully living.
Suspended in stagnant contemplation
of the point of our existence.
What is the continual strive?
The days in my wildflower cerebral meadows,
Where as a child I wandered carefree of wonderings
of why we are alive.
Heard rumors that love is the reason why.
