And you say you do not want a thing from me,
you say,
just to be my friend?
You are not here plotting some scheme.
This is for real?
It is not pretend?

And you hope we are friends forever,
you say,
forever and so true?
We will be there for each other,
you say?
We will help each other through?

And you only want the same back,
you say,
friendship true in heart?
For friendship to remain strong,
you say,
we both must do our part?

And there will be times of conflict,
you say,
that is just a part of life?
We will get through these and see more,

We will conquer any strife?
