butterfly wings

a lyric mirror 48©

not for antartica:
lithe, wind-cleaving creature
noislessly kite-dancing.
ovum into larva,
butterfly from pupa,
every rose romancing.
delicate by nature,
wings of pure gossamer.

Author's Note
A lyric mirror 48© is an original genre concept by Clyve Bowen, in which a mirrored octet contains six syllables in each of its eight lyric lines, totalling 48 syllables. This is a mirror because the rhyming is from the outside in -- 1/8, 2/7,3/6, 4/5.
