Yesterday's Sky

faster and faster days slipping by
tomorrow turns into yesterday's sky
Sun rising up, Moon going down
full Moon to new Moon around and around

growing older and older though feeling the same
atoms keep changing we're on a train
of cells being replaced within seven years
time's speeding up while facing our fears

where are we going? where have we been?
where are we now that we have seen
everything everywhere passing us by
rainbows and halos up in the sky

omens and portents of what is to come
of what has arrived, of what has begun
of what has just happened, of what has just gone
faster and faster we're moving on

new Moon to full Moon around and around
Moon rising up, Sun going down
