because it reminds you of what could have been if you had chosen to stay

And that every scribble in every book you come across makes you think of me

I hope you find my socks in your laundry

and strands of my hair in your car

And I hope your heart sinks down to your ass

and you feel a giant knot in your throat

when they ask about me at the bar

because I know they will
