The ache I feel in my heart when I see you with him instead of me, heartbreaking reminders of why I set you free

It seemed such a good idea, all we seemed to do was always fight, I still remember how the door slammed on that rainy fateful night

We should have tried to talk it out, got things sorted put them right, then perhaps you'd be laying in my arms instead being with him every night

I can see you're very happy, I've seen you often laugh and smile, I wish I could just say hello, just be near you for a while

But I know that cannot be, still I wish with all my heart, I could have a second chance, I hate the fact our love has broke apart

I wonder do you ever think of me, do I ever cross your mind, I pray you think thoughts of us, of the nice and loving kind

We shared some really happy times, it wasn't always bad, do you think of the good times we had, before I made you sad

I only wish good things for you, even though we are now apart, still I'll have you always, as i carry your memories in my heart
