I'm still going through mother's journals. A 2010 entry inspired this. In the spring of 2014 I would have been 16, still feeling insecure from those earlier taunts by boys at school.
Don't listen to the gibes when you are young and just starting out in life - give yourself chance to grow and develop. I would also agree that what is on the inside counts more - what you are on the outside is not the content of your character and it is character that keeps love going.
Through my earlier teens I was criticised for being short and skinny (more by other boys than opposite sex), took long time to live down. However I am happy with what I have become given a lifetime of walking and cycling etc,
