Once upon a ragdoll non-porcelain or glass
silence on a pillow trending shade of adieu
hungry for the souls of god fellows
fraying seams of paper mache memories
in your lonely and talcum-burn eyes
across death's fata morgana
a never-ending flight of stairs
lucid shadow at my window
with the sultry fragrance of myrrh
praying for Babylon
in a stream of inflammation
as life begins to fade
to the schism of my yesterday
and scenarios, dreaming
