Beyond South <pipe> Part 2
April woke up feeling low,
Reluctantly shuffling to the shower,
Limping slow and moving slow,
She wished she had more power.
But as she reached for the faucet,
A sudden change of heart arose,
She had the energy to brush her teeth,
And go for an early morning run in tow.
Her mind raced for a good spot,
Where she'd be forced to go the distance,
So she called a friend and asked a lot,
Who suggested an airport park with insistence.
He told her to take a bus to Harbour View,
Jog back to the car in the parking lot,
The scenic view is peaceful, it's true,
And the road is cool in the mornings, he thought.
The renewed sidewalks were designed for joggers,
Very few people use the roadway in such a manner,
It's a perfect spot for her to loggers,
Her morning run, with peace and banner.
April's heart leaped with joy,
As she imagined the cool morning air,
The peaceful view, the freedom to enjoy,
And the distance she'd cover without a care.
So she dressed up, jumped in her car,
And drove to the airport with glee,
Parked her vehicle, hopped on a bus,
And jogged her way back to where she'd be.
The road was cool, the view was great,
And the renewed sidewalks were a breeze,
She ran with a renewed faith,
And found the energy she did seize.
April's morning run was a success,
Thanks to her friend's wise advice,
She felt alive, renewed, and blessed,
And her energy was on the rise.
Reluctantly shuffling to the shower,
Limping slow and moving slow,
She wished she had more power.
