Image for the poem Feathered Divine

Feathered Divine

A dusting
of
sorrow
tickling the pages of life
Brief friendships
Lost loves
Scarring our volumes

Fortunate teller
Teasing to the eye
Spoken chance pleasantries
cryptic to the mind

Splayed mark seller
Peddling his imaginings
Inhaling his wares
greeting envy
with
manufactured
suspect

Impetuous children
Killing our wise fathers
Brave consultations
Filling the spirit
with
mixed confession

barren thoughts
wanton
and
fading into rings
rendered choices
Forgotten dreams
Scarce interactions
interlacing
heed
and
wit

Commit to adherence
A feathered divine
Release me
from
the tremble
of
dissembled
design
