Blame Technology

We blame technology for isolating us
Like technology itself has intent
To manipulate
Confuse
Entrap
We look for something to blame
Some nefarious entity
When we choose the easiest path
Cheap entertainment
Distraction
Confusing likes with connection
Choosing immediacy
Replacing intimacy
Ultimately we choose
And need to choose carefully.

Author's Note
I have been experimenting with analog communication. I write letters to friends, with a pen, on paper. I had the idea that the first poems I shared would be written in calligraphy (by hand). I wanted to share on the forum more than I wanted to make sure it was done in calligraphy. I offer an alternative to technology, a possibility to connect, message me with your address (real name not required)and a poem of mine you like. I will write you and include a hand written version of the poem. If I am overwhelmed with responses I will let you know.
