Attempting to tabulate
frantic flyers
flocking birds
feels a lot like counting
punctuated words
Often i am
caught up in a
flummox of murky mire
whereby i
believe i am more
addlebrained than
schizophrenic
Full on
Full blown
Full of it
to a near panic attack
making me want
to melt the stress
away tossing
Fifty Unique words
into that
wastebasket adjacent
to a demonic
entity’s armoire
Solution is
run away or quit
because I am tired
and weak
just want to sleep
Forever

My 1st strike
ever!
i made my psyche and physical self sooooooooooo
stressful that i couldn't sleep
couldn't eat
couldn't think
but Eerie gave me a better word calculator than what i was using
and so, i decided to try to power through this NaPo
Normally,
most of my spills are way over the limit but this one time, on day Ten, my Turkeys were not there for me.

I don't use a word counter for fifty unique words. I just write and write till the words exceed 50 unique words to be safe. Just enjoy spilling everyday brother. We're almost halfway to the finish line.🙂

Ugh, I’m sorry to hear about day 10. And I know it’s easier to say than do, but your being involved is such a force for good I’m glad you’ve decided to muscle through it and get to the end. I’ve been scraping the bottom of the barrel since day three🙄. This year has been exceptionally lean. That all said, I think all your entries have been terrific and this one is no exception.

It's amazing what a power nap can do
and i woke with a renewed sense of
inspiration!
i told a neighbor that the only entry i didn't think was
CRAP was day 10's -- lol, and go figure that was the one
that almost caused me to quit this yr's NaPo.

ooooph - the 50 unique word rule - I don't like to play Russian Roulette close to the margin so I stay well over - which usually happens anyway if you're doing a rhyming form like villanelles, or as inthis year's quaterns.
You have a good way with words, Tallen, and this poem is no exception. I love the alliterations nd the da-da-da of the consonance. Nice

i think my way with words is mostly because of my
schizophrenic thinking
but i'll accept any praise at this point -- thank You

this year i was gonna try to NOT use words readers have to look up
but i just can't help myself.
In my mind, am thinkin' " Well, i had to look it up (while reading a textbook or an old book) to understand the gist and so i am going to share with all my readers! "
