Living Is Dying

That's what us humans want to do right? �
We want to live �
Naturally we want to live �
There's no feeling like it �
And we always want more �

Don't ya know �
It's ok to prepare for death �
Death is only as natural �
As living �
Yes it is �
�
If we can choose to �
Live and enjoy �
Everything that �
Makes us feel alive �
We can CHOOSE �
To prepare to die �
�
Worst things have happened �
Ya know �
So why �
Are we so scared to die? �
�
Why? �
Must we continue �
To run and hide �
From this Irrefutable �
Truth �
�
It's the glue �
That connects us �
We must understand �
There is ALWAYS a choice �
�
We can ignore �
Stay blind �
To what can NEVER �
Be left behind �
�
Or we can face �
A taste �
Of what it looks like �
To WANT to prepare �
For the end of our lives �
�
We are suffering already �
War �
Famine �
Disease �
Outbreak �
�
So what we NEED �
Is to accept death �
Openly �
It is NOTHING to fear don't you see �
We need to hold each others hand �
Through these trying times �
�
So that one day �
We live with no regrets �
And can die a peaceful �
Heartfelt �
Fulfilling �
Death

Author's Note

Something I've been thinking about for a while. The poem title is inspired by this book I'm reading "LIVING IS DYING(How to Prepare for Death, Dying and Beyond)" �by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse. While writing this Heartfelt poem, I was thinking about this book whipe writing. This book is the only thing that has helped me understand death a little better and how to not fear it, but embrace it and accept it openly. I am still struggling greatly with excepting death,bbut it is my hope that one day I can let go of all my fears and celebrate death just as I, would celebrate life. Hope you enjoy the read💜.
