Soulish
my soul is paradoxical
I hold hands
with vivid reflections
watching a slanted world
gnash its rows of hungry teeth
& I make myself small
find me there in limbo
singular & adrift
on naivete & sin
chasing tiny static flecks
that almost
dance like stars
but I could never wish on them
even stars burn out eventually

Dear K,
That last line said it all. I really appreciated the feeling of this write. You have a very delicate way of writing about anxiety I really relate to. Great piece. H🌷
