Whizzing Through Air

drip drop drip drop
rain keeps falling it won't stop
rumbling tumbling whizzing through air
splashing and splattering everywhere

sunshine on a far away sea
evaporated water to flee
floating in clouds blown by the wind
onto the mountains where rain begins

falling again back to the ground
crashing on impact with liquid sound
trickling into fast flowing streams
back to the ocean though sometimes it seems

some of it wants to linger and stay
seeping down until it meets clay
for the roots and mycelium too
nurturing life for me and for you -
