Whispers to the Twilight Moon

This nearly full moon
A brilliant white in the dimming sky
Echoes hope to my eager mind
Hope your light may yet reflect
from your far away
here in my dusky twilight eyes

May the waves of this, our shared sea,
wash ashore together
Us on a Someday bay

I’ll float with you
Amidst the salty tears of missing
In belief you too are wishing
Our hands might clasp
Our arms might reach
Drawn together by love’s magnetism
Drawn together in embrace
Releasing passion so long buried
In those deepest darkest depths

Until then I ask,
Moon-rays speed my words of hope
Return them to my Sun & Smile
from whence your light reflects
Pull those tides of Someday
Our way
Soon
My bright moon
