May Flowers
The April fools have come and gone
And it's a better day that lay ahead
With pranks in the past, we carry on,
Where I can sleep in a daytime bed
To dream about the zenith moon
Setting the midnight world alight
When the sky will not let clouds monsoon
Like they do on a winter night...
And when I wake in the afternoon
I'll greet the heat of the evening sun,
Or whenever it might seem opportune
When having day off mid day fun
Since I'm a fool for solar power
As much as I love an April shower!

These rhymes are exquisite... I never tire of your poetic talents and can't help but adore /appreciate how it all flows so beautifully seemless, never missing a beat!

It's weird how my process works because if I can just get the first two lines to strike my own ear in an inspirational way, then I can almost always count on my scatterbrain to generate enough content to fill out the rest of the poem. It really is like the sonnets write themselves, or like an unsensed entity hovers about whiles whispering in the poets inner ear, a la Muse.
Actors and singers have always relied on rhyme for lyric memorization, but I think rhyme assists in thought generation as well, and that is the real reason so many poets get addicted to it.

One wonders what poetry might be like had we not evolved with the magnificently recurring phantasmic phenomena provided by such a satellite, or indeed if we would have developed mystique exaltation tendencies of thought at all.
