Confusion
Oh, lovely confusion
Sink your teeth into me.
Make me love
That which I cannot have
Just as much as that which I do have.
Confusion, steal my mind.
Rage a war in my head.
Make me want
What I have
And what I don’t.
Keep me up at night
Not thinking of what is.
Keep what could be in my mind.
Don’t ever let me forget how it feels
To talk
To listen
The wholeness of it all.
Make me want more
Make the tears come.
Slicing their way down my cheeks,
Never letting me go.
