It Doesn't Matter
into the future from the past
the tightrope of present seeming to last
forever and always breathing in air
carbon dioxide expelled which we share
with everything growing in the ground
making a gentle rustling sound
wind tiptoeing through the trees
invisibly coming, unseen it then flees
teetering, tottering, staying afloat
up and down like in a small boat
on a deep ocean where time disappears
as well as sorrow and all of our fears -
what is to come has not yet arrived
what was has gone still we have survived
constant always staying the same
breathing in and out again
forever and always until our last breath
each moment of life until we reach death
returning to oneness after we leave
it doesn't matter what we believe...
the tightrope of present seeming to last
forever and always breathing in air
carbon dioxide expelled which we share
with everything growing in the ground
making a gentle rustling sound
wind tiptoeing through the trees
invisibly coming, unseen it then flees
teetering, tottering, staying afloat
up and down like in a small boat
on a deep ocean where time disappears
as well as sorrow and all of our fears -
what is to come has not yet arrived
what was has gone still we have survived
constant always staying the same
breathing in and out again
forever and always until our last breath
each moment of life until we reach death
returning to oneness after we leave
it doesn't matter what we believe...
