we travel in tunnels within
interweaving tunnels
by alloy serpents
that carry us into the future
to where we ought to be
but where do you go?

Dear MDT ... Interesting write ... There is only the now ... this moment ... The future always moves quickly toward us and then into the past ... However this moment is all that we can ever live in. I gather these tunnels you speak of are the mind. Bruce

thanks for your feedback, yes i agree that there is only the now, the poem is about the underground tunnels of the metro. Trains carry us into the future, to our jobs,appointments or dates, whatever it may be we're all transported (city rail) into the future. so where's your stop? where are you going? was the kinda theme i was thinking of, but yes i guess it can be tunnels of the mind as well :)
