Christmas, a lovely tradition
Some will say that Christmas is falsehood
Some will say that those who celebrate Christmas
Are false worshippers of God*
Of course for many, God is a sort of ghost
Created by men to try to understand the not-understandable
(Indeed, has anybody anywhere seen the person?)
So if God is a ghost (also part of the trio as the Holy Ghost)
Then let Him be feasted at Halloween
And let others enjoy Christmas which stems, yes,
From thousands of years of pagan traditions.....
Leading, for Christians, to the birth of Christ.

So much is lost in history and books are always left open to interpretation. My belief is that Moses (the author of the first five books) was more like an astronomer, explaining creation using the term "days" so to simplify the understanding the passage of time. But is a day to a cosmic entity in the whole of the universe in terms of millions and billions of years?
There have been several other religions with similar stories as well, religions pre-dating Christianity. Always interesting stories lost in time.

Agreed. And Christianity ''borrowed'' a lot from pagan religions which predated it by years and yars, if not centuries. Regards, Robert.
