Goodbye Winter
Behold the first chirpings of morn.
The lull of innocence is born.
The ancient familiar melody proclaims
the end of winters thaw.
No longer just a procession
of a lonely crow's caw.
Daffodils and tulips shake my heart with mirth.
Recalling the springs of my life,
the riot of rebirth.
The cadence of sweet warbling,
awakens my inner child.
Untainted, carefree and wild.
Plucking dandelion bouquets,
amongst the peeps & chittering,
of a sun stained spring day.
The lull of innocence is born.
The ancient familiar melody proclaims
the end of winters thaw.
No longer just a procession
of a lonely crow's caw.
Daffodils and tulips shake my heart with mirth.
Recalling the springs of my life,
the riot of rebirth.
The cadence of sweet warbling,
awakens my inner child.
Untainted, carefree and wild.
Plucking dandelion bouquets,
amongst the peeps & chittering,
of a sun stained spring day.
