I Miss Us
I let you salivate over my innocence
As you kissed my wounds
Just to cut me open again.
My body arced and sparked
When you traced your dirty fingers
Around the holes in my aching heart.
You exposed the softest parts of me
As I fell deep into your darkness
Eyes closed, the wind on my face was ecstasy.
Oh, to be young and dumb once more!
The woman I am cannot fathom
The love you aroused in the girl I was.
I still think of those icy blue eyes,
And that velvet voice purring to me
That first summer day you shook my soul.
Nothing can replicate you.
As you kissed my wounds
Just to cut me open again.
My body arced and sparked
When you traced your dirty fingers
Around the holes in my aching heart.
You exposed the softest parts of me
As I fell deep into your darkness
Eyes closed, the wind on my face was ecstasy.
Oh, to be young and dumb once more!
The woman I am cannot fathom
The love you aroused in the girl I was.
I still think of those icy blue eyes,
And that velvet voice purring to me
That first summer day you shook my soul.
Nothing can replicate you.
