Reflections of Eternal Torment
True! - nervous - very, very dreadfully nervous I had been and am; but why will you say that I am mad? The events that have unfolded before me are beyond reason and comprehension of any sane mind. It all started on a fateful night when I was alone in my room. I looked into the mirror, and that’s when I saw it - my reflection, with an unnaturally large and wicked grin. It was a grin that stretched from ear to ear and looked as though it was carved on the face of the devil himself. I tried to look away, but I couldn't.
Then, before I knew it, I was grabbed and pulled into the mirror. My body twisted and contorted, and I felt myself being sucked into a dark vortex. Suddenly, I found myself in a different world - a world that looked like mine, but something was off. My reflection was now the real me, and I was trapped inside the mirror.
I watched helplessly as my reflection replaced me in my own life. It stole my wife, my family, and my house. I watched as it lived my life, laughed with my wife, played with my children, and slept in my bed. The worst part was that it knew I was watching. Every time I looked into the mirror, it would smile that wicked grin, taunting me with my own life.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. I was trapped, forced to watch my reflection live the life that was once mine. I screamed and yelled, but no one could hear me. I was invisible to the outside world, and my reflection was living the life I once had.
I don't know how long it's been since that night. Time has lost all meaning in this world. All I know is that I'm still here, trapped inside the mirror, forced to watch my reflection live my life. And that wicked grin never leaves its face, a constant reminder of my eternal torment.
