Some People
I have a friend
A real carnival barker
Up on an old Hickory stump
Selling the oil
Telling anyone who would listen
How wonderful it is
Still there is the limited amount
So get your's fast
Truth be told
The big storm took it
Washed him clean
Of everything he had
First it took his wife
Then his children
Real estate fell next
Then every dime to his name
Found himself a pretty little princess
Didn't even know she was playing a game
Promised her a shiny gold kingdom
From a fairy tale he made up in his head
Now he rants and raves who ever the ear
Tearing down who ever confronts him
You know
Cowards and fear
Yesterday I saw him
As quiet as he'd ever been
Said if he ever had the chance
He would do the very same
So you may ask
What's the moral to my stupid fucking story
Well it's just my opinion
But
Some people are not going to change
