Author's Note
We watched "The Sting" for pizza/movie night. I'd long forgotten how wonderfully it is staged and acted.
It evoked a fond albeit sometimes anmoying memory of my l'il sis playing the theme song, "The Entertainer," over and over and over again with an ever-increasing tempo. I blame Marvin Hamlish for writing such a mssterful, memorable, lively tune...now back to whistling.🤠

Dear GW,
Too funny! I always referred to this movie as “The Stink” because The Entertainer was only Joplin rag I couldn’t stand and it so influenced my opinion of the flick! I’m sure it’s unfair and I should try watching it again. I did however, fully enjoy your memorable poem. 😊
