The Silent Sky

The silent sky
Hung lazily
Over the azure sea of blue
Reds, and oranges
Of a surreal hue
This beautiful sky
Seemed afire
As it filled my heart
With a silent desire
To enter this surreal, strange world
And to wonder at the mysteries
It had yet to unfurl
As this beauty
Danced upon my heart
As i floated along this strange horizon
Venturing into, a yet unseen portal
That had lain dormant
Within a dream
And as i traversed
This strange universe
That i had oft, traversed before
I fell in love with Hastings
All over again
This wonderful, beautiful town
With its lights, and glitz
And a sense of the profound
A myriad diversities
I know in my heart of hearts
That i am homeward bound
