Thr3e

Inside a shell
Nothing to do
But drown in thought
Rock back and forth
Shivering from the cold
Can’t see my hands
To blow into them
Begging, please

Inside a hollow
Oh, to hear a sound
Other than my voices
Hard to grasp
What’s being said
And what’s just an echo
Begging, please

In pride, I starve
Something to keep
It’s hard to tell
Who I am today

Fly away
Fly away
Fly away
Begging you
Please

Waiting inside
How long to know
The final verdict
It’s warm for a cell
I guess it’s not the cold
That makes me shiver
Breathing in

Holding inside
Pressure gauging limits
Walls don’t seem to satisfy
How heavy can it get
Before I break?
Patience swinging back and forth
Betrayed by his halo
Breathing out

In sloth, I crave
Weary of this journey
It’s hard to say
When I last cared

Fly away
Fly away
Fly away
Begging you
Please
Once again

It’s all temporary
Death’s a cigarette
With life as a light
Just suck in the smoke
I’ll try not to cough,
But it’s something hard to swallow
How divine

Now and then
It’s reoccurring
Steadily, like a pendulum
Reaching for me
In this pit
Create another day
Where heroes become victims
How mundane

In bitter hatred, I wait
To rip up this tree
Until you can see
Just how heavy it is

Fly away
Fly away
Fly away
Begging you
Please

Please
