The Intimacy of Coffee
He brought me to a hotel
Room number 225
I was a nervous girl, in the dark
However, never felt more alive
He gave me lace
Told me to "Try it on for size"
Made me wash my make-up off
So, I had not a single disguise
He laid me on the bed
But he only wanted to talk
Told me stories of regrets
And at first, threw my off
Then in my response
He interrupts me with a kiss
Intense enough to make me sweat
A feeling I've desperately missed
His fingertips start to paint me
Making me into his masterpiece
The anticipation of his body
He was my perfect release
The whispers he sang
Spoke the expressive truth
He looked into my eyes and asks
"You poor thing, what will I do with you?"
He plants his hands on my wrists
I start to feel his soft skin
Along with his thick hair
This is right where it begins
He loved me deeply
He couldn't let me go
Even when I was breathing heavy
We were still going slow...
Eventually, we went back to silence
However, soft kisses were still in play
He held tight till loss of breath
And played with my hair as we laid
I couldn't help but the thought of wonders
If this was all just a dream
Never in my life with someone
Have I ever felt so healthy and clean...
I woke up to the curtains open wide
And a note with some coffee
It said "Thank you for your warmth,
And you were the beautiful night that saved me..."
