The death
of a vision
is followed
by a cascade
of disappointments
so deep
that it
crushes the will
to be deaf
to the heart's
faint calling us
into abandoning
our expectations
so that
we can feel
our true feelings,
the emotions
of being
beyond
the rationalizations
of the ego
in its quest
for control
and unending need
for proof
of its existence.
