Image for the poem midnight

midnight's desire

sadness greets my loneliness
I feel so desolate
I needed you to stay but you had to leave
now I'm alone with the grievous shadows
memories of our talks in the garden
haunt my heart

I will never find another who understands me in this life
like you did
you breathe life into me
and I sheltered in your smile

so powerful I saw your beauty and danger
I was tempted to kiss fate
a state of perfect happiness
were summers in our philosophical wanderings

I met myself in your demeanor
you asked me when I became so afraid
you know I didn't recognize you then

we will meet again in midnight's desire
should you need me before that
you just have to call to me
