serenity

 
my vulnerability is shining
I want to talk to you but I feel shy
I don't know where the anger comes from
but it holds me hostage and I fall victim to its greed
I seek sanctuary deep within my soul
where my poetry halls are sacredly scribes and I am safe

I am in the world observing
participating in humanity
what is to be human
it hurts a lot of the time
but the experience is beautiful all the same

I love connecting with the vibrations of the place
when the Earth is sad I feel her pain
I empathize with those journeying here
I see some old souls suffering
some new souls exploring

we recognize each other, sometimes we remember
other times not so much
it's in the forgetting there is sometimes mercy
it's in the knowledge I am growing

what does it take to evolve a soul?

at times it takes the heavy hand of direction
others beautiful serenity
knowing I am loved in the universes
