The Silent Scream

Beneath skin. Beneath bone. Not able to escape the intervening bars of the skeleton. Imprisoned screams cry out through the marrow cage. Unheard to sky, ground, or air. I think the wind and the trees hear but do not care.

A fetal curled girl opens her mouth to release this agony resulting in not even a miniscule trace of frequency or sound. But internally the sound is clashing loud.
