Image for the poem hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

the blood seeps from my soul
and I cry out to the celestial and ask why
it hurts to be this weak and in love

what is love?

it is neither corporeal or forced
it emanates from within causing powerful emotions
lust, passion, anger and jealousy

I hate the feeling of jealousy
it hurts so bitterly
both inside my soul and the words that rise up from it

where is love then?

it goes away, it flees from my words of anger
I am left empty of emotion and sadness takes its place
sorrow of such a depth it cannot be measured

where is unconditional love, then?
where does it reside?

I need a dose from your loving cup
or inside I will die
