Softer Options

Haven't had the experience
Of office politics to treasure,
Are they all that great in measure,
As ideas toy in thoughts during times of leisure.

Surrounded by skeins of dreams
Ordinary in their schemes,
Beneath the bridges of memes
Characters unknown nor seen.

Here lay I in pure redolence
Never felt in all my experience,
There is he that talks over the fences
Between the lines blurred in defences.

For sweet ambrosial moments
Only spoken of by romantic poets,
Dual purposes and emoluments,
Events such as these give contentment.

Yet as undefined mantles
Beset these pale cheeks with spangles,
We dot the i that wrangles
The alphabet of loves entangles.
