Hangman's Creek
When the sky goes dark....
And the moons still asleep....
Meet me down by hangman's creek
Where the warm summer breeze
Blows kisses through the trees
The frogs chirp and sing
A farewell song for you and me
For it's said that here lovers depart
They'd rather die together
Than live life apart
These men that say dark and light
Should never be seen in day or night
They'll not make us live a lie
So in death tonight we'll take our flight
In the afterlife we'll be together
No more weight of hiding forever
One day love will be enough
No more color to separate us
And the moons still asleep....
Meet me down by hangman's creek
Where the warm summer breeze
Blows kisses through the trees
The frogs chirp and sing
A farewell song for you and me
For it's said that here lovers depart
They'd rather die together
Than live life apart
These men that say dark and light
Should never be seen in day or night
They'll not make us live a lie
So in death tonight we'll take our flight
In the afterlife we'll be together
No more weight of hiding forever
One day love will be enough
No more color to separate us
