Dawn of Glory
As I sit upon my steed
Armor gleaming in the sun
I can't help but feel a twinge of doubt
A sense that something's not quite right
For I am but a simple knight
A warrior of humble birth
Yet here I am, preparing to fight
For a cause I may not understand
I close my eyes and take a breath
As memories flood my mind
Of all the people I have left
Of the love I've left behind
I see my mother's worried face
My father's proud and stern
I see my sweetheart's gentle grace
And feel the love that I'll return
But now is not the time for tears
I must put my personal life aside
For I am a knight, and it is my duty
To stand and fight with pride
So I raise my sword
As the call to battle rings clear
I will fight for honor, and for my lord
And for all that I hold dear
Armor gleaming in the sun
I can't help but feel a twinge of doubt
A sense that something's not quite right
For I am but a simple knight
A warrior of humble birth
Yet here I am, preparing to fight
For a cause I may not understand
I close my eyes and take a breath
As memories flood my mind
Of all the people I have left
Of the love I've left behind
I see my mother's worried face
My father's proud and stern
I see my sweetheart's gentle grace
And feel the love that I'll return
But now is not the time for tears
I must put my personal life aside
For I am a knight, and it is my duty
To stand and fight with pride
So I raise my sword
As the call to battle rings clear
I will fight for honor, and for my lord
And for all that I hold dear
