Holy Ghost

(Sacrilegious "Leda and the Swan")
TW: r*pe, abuse, sacrilegious

As she lay all alone on her cot,
Upon where she and Joseph had tried before.
She wondered was it her fault or not,
For they had yet to conceive and adore.

Then she loved him as much as she could;
Granted she must, for what her father was paid.
She wondered if she very much should,
But she thought either way, she would be paid.

She invited HIM while he was out.
She figured, "why not? He will think it is his."
But soon a shadow was cast of doubt,
As that night HE took to using his fist.

All the screams fell upon empty halls,
For the deaf roam the streets when a woman calls.

Against her wishes and cries of "NO".
HE beat her and took her that long ago night.
At the end, HE made sure hold her close,
"Your 'Holy Ghost' will never grant a fight."

She slowly gave in, beat of the drum.
And yet she felt she could only blame herself.
She lay there limp, until HE was done,
And HE picked up all his things from the shelf.

HE left without a trace from her house,
That night leaving behind the lord's will and pride.
Simple name for the child of her spouse.
Maybe in Bethlehem they could go hide.

A conclusion of thought should be naught,
As the pain of her heart she had fought.
