Acquiescence

A woman's desire to seek the best
Is something that cannot be repressed
For hypergamy is part of her nature
In our society it's part of her culture

And though men may take it as slight
A woman's right to choose her mate is a given right
To seek out a better life and stand tall
Is something she deserves to do after all

But while men may be begrudged her this freedom
And feel slighted by her Quest
They must accept her desire in her will
For this is something they can't resist

For hypergamy's part of the human condition
A woman's rights to choose her mate is her prerogative
And when men accept this as part of life
A strong and happy relationship can survive
