Nothing
exists separate
from everything else.
Freedom
includes
those things
which must be
available
in order
to survive.
Lust
dances
through us
so that
we can live
free
of delusion.
We are
not deluded
into thinking
without
emotional intimacy.

expresses
itself
through

nothingness
with another
person.

This cross-reference, of Buddhism and the Marquise de Sade, pits the spiritual with its humanity.
People are messy. And beautific.
Nevertheless, the experience of being in negotiation with another person is still a spiritual adventure as well as human.
Being human requires so very much. It demands everything. We choose the pathway responses we express.
We can know that which we integrate with ourselves in intimate vulnerability.
Trust. Letting go. Getting hurt. Abandonment. Disappointment. Loss. Grief.

I am came upon this piece by hitting the 'random poem' button on the Poems and Short Stories home page and many, I'm so glad I did.
Trust, letting go, vulnerability... Is it human nature to step on the brakes with these notions? I sometimes feel like it's only me that struggles with it not coming easily to me... I harbor fear, sure. Yet I work tirelessly on trying to free myself from that shackle....It's a slow process and I guess today I'm just discouraged...
I think it serendipitous that I literally happenstanced into reading this poem... Thanks, RT. I'm again deeply appreciative of all your big ol brain has to offer me, in regards to figuring my own shit out...

Thank you....I struggle with these same things. I see others go through it.
It's a wonder humans made it this far....luck...biochemical programming....success is rare...failure is every few seconds.
