A friend of our family died recently. She was the same age as my daughter. I watched her grow into a beautiful woman who wrote poetry and songs. She loved deeply and without hesitation.
After witnessing her passing, I wrote these thoughts.

Always tough to understand the death of youth.
She lives on in all she touched in their memories of her.

Your daughter's friend's work will live on in what she wrote. It's a bit like when John Lennon died. He wrote some great stuff but when he died, we knew there would not be any new material, other than his poorly recorded demos. Death is so final in one sense but in another, as long as we carry their souls in our hearts, they continue to live in us.
