did I tell you how much your attention means to me?

your deep insight gives me cues to your intellect
and wow you're one of a kind
your thoughts inspire me to delve deeper
I enjoy your mind when you share your thoughts
touching my soul it seems you linger a moment with me
while you peruse my diary

poetry is a private language not all people understand
but you seem to always get my meanings or intent
I love that you take the time to show me affection
finding meaning even in my less than special entries
they are the sums of the whole
they are me vulnerable on the page

I know you will come and uncover me hidden in the metaphors
and unveil my honesty
I look forward to it
