Looking for my Reality
The breath between us
felt like I was sinking into a warm bath
Slowing warming my body
As a calmness settled onto me
The space around our bodies faded
Leaving us alone
We spoke in single words
Our eyes finishing the sentences
There was no next
Only now
I wanted to reach over
Feel her touch
But knowing the spark
Would ripple though the moment
I sank deeper into comfort
That microsecond of hesitation
That fear of rejection
That lack of courage
Was all it took
With no flint to ignight the fuel of passion
We settle into freindship
Where romance is but a concept
Looking for a reality
felt like I was sinking into a warm bath
Slowing warming my body
As a calmness settled onto me
The space around our bodies faded
Leaving us alone
We spoke in single words
Our eyes finishing the sentences
There was no next
Only now
I wanted to reach over
Feel her touch
But knowing the spark
Would ripple though the moment
I sank deeper into comfort
That microsecond of hesitation
That fear of rejection
That lack of courage
Was all it took
With no flint to ignight the fuel of passion
We settle into freindship
Where romance is but a concept
Looking for a reality
