rainbow tears

When you died
I had no one
I never wanted
The way you once
Looked... At me
To ever disappear
You told me once
With quiet seriousness
That our memories lived,
Breathed in pure existence
Behind the slight shimmer
That static behind our eyes
Press down and you'll see
The stars burst into existence
Over and over again
I'd rub my eyes raw
As the tears would fall
Memorized by the patterns
That my fingers would create
Walls, hands and through choking
I chased you... The memories
Of your hands holding my face
Wiping my tears away
Making the rainbows appear
Fuck, I wish you were here
